Three Wishes

Chats at Love Romances Café are events I always look forward to. Dawn, the host, asks us authors great questions. During a recent Shadowfire Press chat, one of her questions was:

If you could have 3 wishes, what would you wish for?

And I'd like to share the answer with everybody. I celebrated a birthday just recently and my mother insisted on buying me a cake and lighting a candle on top of it. (We're forever children to our parents!) In any case, when she asked me to make a wish I was at a loss. When I want something I tend to view the downside, or see how my desires might have negative repercussions for other people. Yes, I overthink everything.

Anyhoo, afterwards I got talking about wishes with my girlfriend--
who, as many of you know, is transgender--and she gladly absconded with my birthday wish and any future wishes I might be granted.

Long story short (well, not that short I guess), I would wish for my Sweet to magically acquire the real, full breasts she wants so badly, for her cheeks to stop sprouting stubble without expensive electrolysis, and for her to get what she especially desires: a nice...juicy...*ahem*...

Steak? Yes, that's right. A nice juicy steak. *grin*

When I think about these changes and how my girl would look naked, how her flesh would feel in my hands, how happy she'd be because of them, I make those wishes in my heart. I'll never be at a loss for wishes again. I know what I desire, and it's all for her.

What about you? If you had three wishes, what would they be?

Giselle Renarde

Quick Six Interview with Jenna Jones

1. Would you be so kind as to tell us what type of stories you write?

JJ: I write m/m romance, mostly contemporary. Hopefully with a dash of humor.

2. What are you reading right now?

JJ: I'm researching post-World War II New York City for a screenplay. I'm planning to use this in an m/m rewrite of Beauty and the Beast, as well.

3. I hear music in the background…what's playing?

JJ: Christmas music! I like slightly off-kilter Christmas music like XTC's "Thanks for Christmas", "I love this time of year" by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones or Dave Matthews's "Christmas Song."

4. Do you have a favourite naughty word?

JJ: Suckle.

5. Is there a word or phrase that absolutely makes you cringe?

JJ: Not really. Most words are appropriate in the right context.

6. Be honest: What are you snacking on?

JJ: A chocolate orange.

Promo time! Flog your wares. Any exciting new releases? How can readers find out more about you and your work?

Giselle Renarde is Alive and Well and Googling Herself

Hi Kittens!

I try not to google myself too often--it seems indiscreet--but I've never been much of a lady, so I'll give it to you straight.

Tonight I've been googling myself over and over again. I must have googled myself ten times over, and I'm still not satisfied! For three years straight, every time I googled myself the first result that came up was my website, http://www.freewebs.com/gisellerenarde/
Every time!

Now I'm googling myself and seeing links to my work, to interviews I've granted, to my podcasting station, to everything about me, but not to ME. Not to my website, http://www.freewebs.com/gisellerenarde/

Okay, actually, yes there is one link to my "About the Author" page, but not to my homepage or any of my other pages. (And, truthfully, my About the Author page is the one I like the least, aesthetically.)

So I guess this qualifies as...a rant? No, I just feel washed up. My website used to make a splash. Now I can't even google myself. Bah! I need some gratuitous nudity. Here goes:

So, as I said, Giselle Renarde is alive and well and living online at http://www.freewebs.com/gisellerenarde/

Please visit. I'm so very lonesome!
Kisses,
Giselle

Quick Six Interview with Eden Winters

1. Hi Eden! Would you be so kind as to tell us what type of stories you write?

EW - Although the theme of my stories vary wildly, and I like to mix genres, all my writings involve two very different men who fall in love somewhere along the way. There is definitely sex, but it's not the primary focus. I prefer to think of it as tales that happen to feature gay men, and yes, those men have active sex lives.

2. What are you reading right now?

EW - I'm revising some of my own work, but intend to relax and reread Heaven Sent 5 - Genesis, by Jet Mykles later.

3. I hear music in the background…what's playing?

Adam Lambert's For Your Entertainment. After the stir he made at the American Music Awards I wondered what type of artist he'd be, but the disk is wonderful. I love every track on it. He has an amazing vocal range, and sings soft, soulful ballads with so much emotion. Of course, you haven't lived until you've seen me perform the title song in my living room while cleaning.

4. Do you have a favourite naughty word?

EW - Labia. I live in an area where most men would think it was a some kind of car. Not the most enlightened of souls, I can tell you. I'm also very fond of saying, "Oh HELL no!"

5. Is there a word or phrase that absolutely makes you cringe?

EW - "Whatever!" I've never known that to be used in a positive manner. Also, "It is what it is." What the hell is that supposed to mean? It's not a bad saying unto itself, but I know people who use it at least twice per conversation. It gets really old.

6. Be honest: What are you snacking on?

EW - Just finished a strawberry frozen fruit bar. Sipping on some Pinot Noir now.

Promo time! Flog your wares. Any exciting new releases? How can readers find out more about you?

EW - My first short story "The Pirate's Gamble" was released by Torquere Press in October 2009. Time traveling pirates!

Archaeologist Ian Lewis has an interesting hobby. He’s the captain of the pirate ship The Naughty Maid. With the help of a mysterious artifact, he travels back in time to save priceless treasures otherwise doomed to be lost forever.

His greatest treasure, however, wants to stay lost, or rather, deeply in the closet. Tired of the hiding the true nature of the relationship he shares with fellow archaeologist David Kane, Ian risks all on his partner’s love in a gamble that just may cost him his life.

My second is out in December, also from Torquere Press, called "Tinsel and Frost", a Christmas themed short.

The last time Tony danced, he’d worn the spangles and tights of the Nutcracker’s Prince and the audience threw roses at the stage. One career-ending accident later, he’s dancing again, and he’s not proud of hoping that the audience will reward him with twenties.

Frost, the big, pale bouncer, has reasons of his own for keeping a watchful eye on Tony. He keeps his distance, too, until he has to bounce an aggressive customer who takes things with Tony too far. They have a short, shared walk home but a huge divide between their lives, though Tony and Frost might have more in common than they believe.

My first ebook will be released on January 27, 2010 called "The Wish," also from Torquere Press:

Alex Martin is a spoiled rich boy who hides his loneliness behind a mask of aloof indifference. Paul Sinclair is a down-to-earth bookstore owner who insists on making his own way in life. Though they come from two different backgrounds, they have a common bond. Their uncles, Alfred and Byron, are partners in a law firm and in life.

When Paul’s uncle dies the two nephews rush to Alex’s uncle’s side, not knowing that it was Byron’s final wish that Alfred do everything in his power to unite the two.

The two men are initially hostile and full of misconceptions, and it will take the combined machinations of Byron’s spirit, the servants he can influence, and Alfred himself to let the two acknowledge the good in one another and their extreme attraction to each other.

If you'd like to try my work before you buy, I have a full length story "The Telling" posted at CRVBOY.http://www.crvboy.org/stories/ew/tt/c01.html

You can find me on the GLBT Bookshelf http://bookworld.editme.com/EdenWinters

I enjoy your site. Thanks so much for the interview!

Here's a fun word from the world of linguistics: tautology~a word or phrase defined in terms of itself. "It is what it is" is a tautology. So is "boys will be boys." I HATE that one.
As for "whatever"...yeah, in my relationship that's the word that turns a conversation into an argument. My girl can't stand it, and I only say it when I'm annoyed.
Ahh...words are fun! :-)
Thanks for the interview,
Giselle

THIRD RAIL for Read and e-book Week

"Read an e-book Week" is in full swing, and I'd like to tell you about another great work of transgender erotica on the market.

TransFixation (TransFix for short) is a new line of erotic fiction from lyd Alterotica featuring authentic portrayals of transgender characters. The first story available in the TransFix line?

Why, that would be my bisexual transgender bdsm tale THIRD RAIL.

THIRD RAIL has always held a special place in my heart for its sheer authenticity, so when I was discussing the topic of realistic portrayals of the bdsm world with loveyoudivine's owner, it suddenly occurred to us both: lyd Alterotica needed a line devoted to authentic portrayals of trans characters.

You've heard this complaint from me many times in the past. All the trans folk I talk to (my girlfriend included) tell me they can't stand all the shemale/t-girl/ladyboy erotica on the market. It doesn't speak to them. Erotica depicting transgender characters doesn't represent ALL trans folk, their feelings, or their sexual behaviours accurately.

It takes a trans man or trans woman (or a sensitive ally-advocate partner/erotic fiction writer...) to step up and write what this potentially beautiful and incredibly hot kind of eroticism really looks. This isn't laa-dee-daa fantasy time. It's hot. It's emotional. It's gritty. It's real.

THIRD RAIL
by Giselle Renarde

"When did I become my own rival for your affections?"

Perhaps it is a touch unusual to have a girlfriend and boyfriend both living in the same body, but Kokoro doesn’t classify her relationship with Fiona and Martin as strange. Kokoro rides the third rail, a dutifully subservient lover to both aspects of her transgendered partner’s psyche. She goes home with Fiona at night, a transformation takes place, and she leaves the house with Martin the next morning. In between, Kokoro discovers that the dynamics of domination and submission aren’t necessarily rooted in black leather. The emotional interplay, “this game of wills,” as Fiona calls it, is a greater aphrodisiac than toy-shop trappings. Fiona is a willful Domme, even in her flowing white skirt and plain cotton panties.

Excerpt:

“Come on, let’s say goodnight to Fiona,” Fiona said, shifting Kokoro from her lap and heading for the stairs. She extended her hand, but still Kokoro stayed planted in the kitchen. “Why aren’t you coming? You really think I’m going to let you sleep on the floor?”

“No, it’s not that,” Kokoro replied, cuddling into the chair abandoned by her beautiful Domme.
“What then?”
“I just hate saying goodbye.”

With a tender smile, Fiona ambled across the kitchen. Kokoro observed their blue-tinged reflections in the glass door as her sensitive lover kissed her hair and consoled, “I hate saying goodbye to Fiona, too, but I can’t very well wear the wig to bed, now can I? And, anyway, even after Fiona’s gone, you’ve still got Martin to play with.”
“Yeah…” Kokoro smirked, scrunching her nose in a deliberate effort to appear snide. “Not really the same, is it?”
Fiona shook her head, slipping the gold bracelet from her wrist. “When did I become my own rival for your affections?”

“It’s all your fault. You’re the one who introduced yourselves to me.”

The bedroom had been tidied to a certain degree, though clothing still hung from the hooks behind the door. The jewellery strewn across her dressing table elicited visions of Ali Baba’s cave: gold and gold, and then some more gold on top of that when Fiona removed her earrings.

“I’ve never once seen your boy clothes when I’ve been here,” Kokoro realized.
Fiona shrugged, tilting her head. “I don’t like to look at them unless I have to.”
“Like you’ll have to tomorrow morning when you get ready for work?”
Shuddering, Fiona moaned, “Don’t remind me.” A winged insect of some sort abducted her gaze, and she focused on it for a long while.

Kokoro let her bra and panties fall to the floor, slipping into the silk chemise she’d brought along, all while Fiona watched the flying creature buzz desperately along the line where the bedroom wall met the ceiling. The night air was chilly. Kokoro slipped into Nuala’s side of the bed.

“I could close my eyes, if you’d prefer,” Kokoro offered, breaking Fiona’s concentration.
“What do you mean?”
“While you change. I don’t have to watch if you don’t want me to.”
“If I didn’t want you to see, you wouldn’t be here.”
Kokoro sighed. “You make everything so difficult.”

With a shrug, Fiona giggled, “That’s my prerogative. Every good girlfriend knows how to make things difficult for her partner. Now, then, are we ready for the wig to come off?”

Absorbing the image of beautiful Fiona, the preferred aspect of this duo, Kokoro nodded, and the wig returned to its home in the closet. Martin tussled his tawny hair, but it still stuck straight up. He unbuttoned the white shirt and squirmed out of his long skirt, hanging both on the back of the bedroom door. The bra was white. The panties were, too. A vicious Domme in basic white undies? But for Fiona, somehow it worked.

Kokoro didn’t need to follow her into the bathroom; she could see Fiona’s reflection in the mirror on the dressing table. It was Martin who rubbed out Fiona with makeup pads, Martin who removed the shimmer from her lips and around her eyes, Martin who scrubbed away her existence with apricot exfoliant. And yet, how can I resent Martin when, truly, he and Fiona were one and the same? Without Martin, there would be no Fiona. Without Fiona, there would be no Martin. It worked both ways.

“Feel how warm these get,” Martin glowed, handing her two heavy-duty water balloons that, seconds ago, had been breasts.

“Oh yeah…” Kokoro replied, watching Martin slip off one then another pair of big white underpants.
“Do you really have to wear granny panties? They are so unattractive. Would it kill you to buy a little lace, a few thongs?”

Naked before her, Martin raised an eyebrow. “Takes a lot more than a thong to keep this thing in check,” he replied. “Besides, who wants something crammed up her backside all day?”

Now it was Kokoro’s turn to raise an eyebrow. “I’m guessing we’re still talking about thongs?”
“Yes, Koko,” Martin scolded as he fished through his drawer of silky nighties, settling on the pink one. “Why? What would you prefer to have crammed up your backside?”

“I don’t know,” Kokoro gurgled. “Weren’t you just saying you needed some place to conceal your cock?”
Martin growled deep in his throat as he turned off the light. Crawling on top of the covers in the pitch-blackness, he was on top of her in no time. He found her intuitively, found her mouth with his as she ran her hands across his silk-lined back, sighing at the luxury.

The boy was back in town.

Sure, he was wearing a nightie, but the pure passion of the masculine aspect was back in full force. His hands caressed her cheeks, ran madly through her hair, and his lust ignited that which had ebbed in her. Kokoro moaned at the kisses of his mouth, glad for the darkness. Fiona was so much prettier, but she’d been put in the cupboard.

“Do you know how hot you get me, Koko?” he whispered, his breath sizzling in her ear.
Martin’s voice was not Fiona’s. There was an overlap, but it was not the same. This voice had depth and a resonance that brewed lust in her core.

“So hot, Koko. You get me so hot.”

And he wasn’t lying. His cock was hard as he rubbed it against her mound. Even with two layers of silk, a sheet and a coverlet between them, he knew precisely where to stroke.

You know you want it...

Words We Hate to Love

Are you like me?

Before you say "Hell no!" and run away, let me explain. As a writer of erotic fiction, I'm constantly making word choices. That's true of any writer, of course, but we in the erotica field are often making word choices to elicit certain reactions--we want to turn people on, or, at very least, NOT turn them off.

There are so many words to choose from when we're describing body parts or physical acts, and I'm sure we all have our go-to words. I tend to go with "cock" for penis, often "pussy" but these days also "slit" for vagina, "tits" for breasts, and "asshole" for...asshole. ;-)

These are the standards, commonly employed in our field. They add to the mood and dynamic we've created between characters without being so weird or shocking they jolt the reader out of the moment.

But, if you're like me, there are euphemisms you love but never use. For me, I happen to get a kick out of the word "schlong." I think that word is hilarious! Have I ever used it in my work? No. Why? It's too funny. If I were writing a comedy piece, I might find a place for it, but otherwise it's probably going to raise more eyebrows than libidos. Look what happens to this excerpt from my menage story THE BIRTHDAY GIFT when I replace "cock" with "schlong:"

As Meredith drew her lids open, her heart nearly stopped. On a built-in bench at the opposite end of the isolated deck sat Richard and Ash. No clothes. Two men—two strangers—naked in Joyce’s backyard? A flutter of nervous excitement turned Meredith’s body into a battlefield. Leave! No, stay. Watch! No, go.
But how could she leave when, just a stone’s throw across the deck, Richard’s hard SCHLONG surged toward the well-defined muscles of his tight stomach? A tingling sensation culminated at the summit of Meredith’s lower lips when Ash reached over to stroke Richard’s rigid SCHLONG. Was this an unwelcome act? Apparently not! Richard’s magnificent hairless chest glimmered with sweat as he swept a hand across Ash’s brawny thigh. Close your mouth, young lady! You’ll catch flies.
Makes me titter more than anything else. I've got another one, too. I happen to really enjoy the word "snatch," but, again, it comes across a little men's mag for a lot of erotic encounters. Thinking back, I'm not sure if I've used "snatch" in my work. It's a distinct possibility, but there are occasions where it just doesn't work. Here's a snatchified excerpt from my pansexual (m/f, f/f, f/f/m) novella ONDINE, which comes out on March 29th, 2010:

Welcoming Yvette’s touch, she hiked up the skirts of her gown with desperate determination. Moth to flame, Yvette’s hand cupped her SNATCH over her new silk panties. Cupped and squeezed. Beneath her bridal lingerie, sweet juices flowed. Surrendering herself completely to the woman in black, Ondine laid limp beneath the torrent of kisses. Whatever Yvette wished for, Ondine desired.

Forcing her satin-gloved hand beneath Ondine’s panties, Yvette plunged impassioned fingers into her silken SNATCH. The nectar flowed faster as she rubbed those tender lips. Yvette broke away to watch in the mirror, mesmerized as she massaged the bride’s SNATCH, but Ondine had waited far too long for that kiss. She wouldn’t let it slip away so easily. Grasping Yvette’s head in her hands, she brought the girl’s lips to hers and kissed them in a frenzy. There wasn’t much time. She had to get married soon.
Again, not quite the effect I was going for.

Oh, I just thought of another one--motherfucker. I LOVE that word. I USE that word. My editors, on the other hand, don't love it quite so much and tend to gently sweep it under the rug. I almost never get away with that baby. "It's too porny." Well, strap me on and ride me like a pony, because I guess I've got a porny side too! LOL

So, again I'll ask: are you like me? Do you have any of these funny or crass euphemisms you'd like to use but self-censor?

Do share!

Cheers,
Giselle Renarde

It's Read an e-book Week!

That's right! All this week, we're encouraging ourselves and each other to read e-books! E-books not only help save the environment, but help save you money and space. They're also convenient to purchase any time you're in front of a computer or cell phone, and delivery is usually automatic!

So, which e-book am I proposing you read today? Why, that would be my latest release: SWEETHEART ROLANDO from Xcite e-books! Do you like shape-shifters? Well, meet the world's one and only cock-sucking, ass-fucking, shape-shifting flower!

When Lily's wicked stepmother tries to chop off her feet, she must flee with her sweetheart Rolando. To outsmart the witch, Lily transforms into the flower that shares her name. But Rolando and the witch share a secret so shameful he leaves his lily to rot. Luckily, a passing shepherd brings her home only to discover her mysterious sexual abilities. Who will be wed when this story ends? Lily and the shepherd? Rolando and the witch? Or Lily and her sweetheart Rolando?

Extract from Sweetheart Rolando

It befell that a lonely shepherd moved his sheep through Lily’s field. When he beheld the poor flower, she appeared to him so pretty and so mournful that he felt a great affinity for her. Plucking her from the ground, he took her along, stem laced into his belt and broad petal against his shirtless chest. Having retained scent receptors from her human days, Lily took in the heady musk of the working man. His body oozed liquid masculinity, encouraging her yellow pistil to soak his flesh with nectar. Lily eased her way across the downy hair of his chest until she could nudge her white petal against the shepherd’s tender nipple. Using her pistil like a tongue, she licked that bud in circles.

‘Why, if I didn’t know better I would think this flower was coming on to me!’ the shepherd said to his sheep. When he arrived home to his one-room cabin, he placed Lily in a clear glass vase on the table.

From that time forth, strange things happened in the shepherd’s house. At night, Lily hopped from her vase and floundered like a trout to the mat where her manly shepherd lay asleep. She crept under the covers, leaving traces of dew from his ankle to his thigh. The musk of his male parts overwhelmed her senses, and she traced her moist pistil along the crease of his hairy sacs. His cock responded immediately, growing by inches.

Along his hard meat, Lily traced her pistil until she arrived at the pleat in his cockhead. That, too, she licked with her yellow tongue, slathering his eager tip with love nectar. In his sleep, he responded encouragingly, so Lily dove down on him to gobble his entire shaft into her soft-as-silk mouth. Folding her white petals around the shepherd’s drooling cock, she formed a tight satin cunt and moved slowly, up and away, then back down. As she plunged, Lily coiled her wet pistil around the musky man’s hard cock.

The sleeping shepherd moaned with delight. It was as though a silky-wet cunt with a spectacularly flexible tongue sucked his cock. The impossibility of it all convinced him, when he awoke in the morning, he had dreamed the enchanted blowjob. Why his Lily lay beside him in bed, smelling of come no less, remained a mystery.

The next night, his delightful dream improved. As the tight silken cunt sucked like a demon on his straining shaft, her sly stem made its way around his muscular thigh. Not only did Lily’s wet pistil coil around his cockhead, but her long green stem also wrapped itself around his hairy ball-sacs. As if that weren’t gratifying enough, she ran the base of her stem along the sensitive path at the base of his balls until she arrived at his twitching asshole.

As Lily sucked the shepherd’s cock, his willing hole twitched under the tickle of her stem. Moistening the entryway with the juice of her veins, she traced circles around it in preparation. When her manly man began to ooh and ahh above the covers, Lily knew he was ready for deep penetration. She launched her solid stem clear past his assring and into that tube of elastic flesh, thrusting forth as she squeezed on his thigh and balls. As she plunged deeper into the shepherd’s ass, he responded by clutching the covers with such violence she feared he might tear them in two.

Lesbian Love and Six of the Best Spankings

Hello all!

One of my favourite erotic lesbian stories "Painted Nails and Puppy Dog Tails" appears in a brand new anthology called "Lesbian Love: A Collection of Six Erotic Stories" from Xcite ebooks. It's got a cute cover too.

Painted Nails and Puppy Dog Tails by Giselle Renarde

Claire is more snips and snails than painted nails, but she's willing to make an exception for the gorgeous girl who works in the salon down the street. Hell, she hasn't stopped thinking about her since that day
their eyes first met! The only problem is that Claire gets too nervous even to say "Hi" when they pass on the sidewalk. It's going to take a bit of a ruse to make a connection. Will the salon girl freak out, or will Claire get the pedicure of a lifetime?

You can check out LESBIAN LOVE at http://www.xcitebooks.com/ebook/XB2018/ref/donutsdesires.blogspot.com/

And if you're in the mood for a spanking, why not try "Six of the Best Spanking Stories" which contains a cathartic story of mine called "Black Lace and Wood"?

Black Lace and Wood by Giselle Renarde

It was months ago that Rebecca cheated on her husband with his younger brother. Navin still won't look at her, even when she dresses up for him in black lace, stockings, garters and heels. There's only one way to salve the old wound, Navin must discipline her like a naughty child. A wooden spoon against her bottom should do the trick.

SPANKING STORIES can be found right here: http://www.xcitebooks.com/ebook/XB2015/ref/donutsdesires.blogspot.com/

Quick Six Interview with S.J. Frost

1. Hi! Welcome to Donuts & Desires. Would you be so kind as to tell us what type of stories you write?

SJF: Steamy m/m erotic romance. I've had a couple m/f pieces published, but m/m is where my heart's at.

2. What are you reading right now?

SJF: Is it bad that I'm not reading anything? I can't read when I'm in the middle of working on a manuscript and I'm writing a new one now. It's some kind of weird quirk. I've got a ton waiting for me to read; Neil Plakcy, Rick R. Reed, Z.A. Maxfield, the list is endless.

3. I hear music in the background…what's playing?

SJF: Queen, A Night at the Opera album. My favorite. Anything by Queen is nourishment for my muse.

4. Do you have a favourite naughty word?

SJF: They're all so much fun, it's hard to pick. Probably cock. Read one of my works and you'll see that one popping up a lot ;-)

5. Is there a word or phrase that absolutely makes you cringe?

SJF: I have a very difficult time with any words derogatory to a person.

6. Be honest: What are you snacking on?

SJF: Peanut M&M's. I can't survive without a daily dose.

Promo time! Flog your wares. Any exciting new releases? How can readers find out more about you and your work?

SJF: My most recent release was my novel, Conquest, from MLR Press. The story is centered around the lead singer of a rising rock band, Jesse Alexander, and his relationship with another famed vocalist, Evan Arden. When Jesse's success puts pressure on their relationship, he must decide what's more important to him, his music or Evan. Readers can track me down on my website, www.sjfrost.com, Facebook, and MySpace. I also always welcome emails and love hearing from people. I can be reached at s.j.frost3@gmail.com

Thanks so much for the fun interview!

Queen...ah yes, my girlfriend is a huge fan too. She likes to poke at our age difference whenever I mention that I sang Bohemian Rhapsody in school choir when I was eight years old. It's kind of a strange choice for children, lyric-wise, but dude, we had the most kick-ass choir EVER! Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the Fandango?

Thanks so much for the interview!
Hugs,
Giselle
