Friends Like These

I uploaded this book last week, and then immediately came down with a migraine/hangover that put me right out of commission. I rarely drink, but when I do it ends badly. I am definitely not in my 20s anymore (or 30s, for that matter...).

Friends Like These started out as a short story--queer fiction with no adult content.  It changed, over the years.  Got longer, acquired a more expansive plot and sex scenes, and now you can buy a copy. Before now, it only existed on the hard drive of an old computer of mine.

I wrote the initial version of this story more than ten years ago, I think.  The thing about writing queer fiction is that it kind of feels like contributing to a time capsule.  By the time you dig it up, the world has changed.  I have that thought every time I read an older piece of queer fiction I've written.

Anyway, I'm happy to see that readers bought copies of this story before I ever told anyone it existed. That's promising.  If you've already purchased your copy, thanks so much!
