New Mischief Anthology: Brief Encounters

These Mischief anthologies always surprise me.  The prices are incredible!  If you're looking for quality and value, look no further...

But before I start sounding too much like a commercial, why don't I get to the point?  There's a new e-anthology on market, and it's called "Brief Encounters."  The publisher is Mischief, which is an imprint of HarperCollins.  The publication date is listed as January 24th 2013, but it appears to be available now, and the price is really, REALLY good for an anthology.

Here's the blurb:

Sexy random opportunities so often arise when a girl is on the move with things to do and places to see. But sometimes, a passionate escapade is actually the journey’s ultimate destination.

Original erotica stories of women who took a chance to misbehave, from Rose de Fer, Primula Bond, Kathleen Tudor, Mina Murray and many more.

Kelly embarks on a whirlwind romance in Paris, but the most intense passion was always waiting for her in a hotel room.

Suzanna is the best sales rep in her company, and she chooses her thrills where she finds them on the road, but there’s one guy in an airport who makes a lasting impression.

On a Greek Island, Vicky discovers that competing with a seemingly perfect woman for her boyfriend’s attention, produces the holiday of a lifetime.
My contribution to this collection is a lesbian cougar beach vacation/hotel sex story called "Her Ocean Saviour":

When Janet's girlfriend breaks her heart and she's convinced that all is lost, her loving mother convinces her to come along on a fun-in-the-sun beach vacation with Mom and Mom's best friend Heloise.  Janet thinks nothing can save her from her sorrow until she's bowled over by a huge wave and Heloise comes to her rescue.  Now there's only one woman Janet wants, and that's her mother's best friend, her ocean saviour Heloise.

Hey, why don't I share an excerpt?  I feel like I haven't posted anything hot in a while.  I'll give you some shower sex.  A lot of people arrive here at Donuts and Desires by Googling "shower sex," so I guess it's a fan favourite.

Excerpt from "Her Ocear Saviour" by Giselle Renarde:

This was a nice resort.  The bathroom was clean, white walls, floors like a blue slate, which extended up the sides of the shower stall.  Heloise climbed in with Janet still latched to her neck.  This shower had one rainfall head that hung down from the ceiling, beautiful gleaming steel, the large circle overhead big enough to wash an elephant.  They stood underneath, holding each other in anticipation.  When Heloise turned on the water, they cringed together, hugging one another hard.  Was the cascade really so cold, or were their bodies just overheated from the sun?
As the temperature regulated, Janet felt herself breathing hard, head tucked against Heloise's shoulder.  Their breasts pressed softly together with each breath, wet bathing suits clinging one to the other.  Janet's head was floating like she was high on salt water.  Her nose and throat still burned, but holding Heloise close made it easy to ignore that stinging sensation.
"Will you wash me?" Janet asked.  Her voice was small and she knew she was pleading, but she didn't care.  "With the soap?"
"Sure, baby."  Heloise grabbed it and swept the bar of white soap across Janet's bare back.
Janet's one-piece covered a lot of skin, which was preferable on the beach, but now she wished she had on a bikini like Heloise's.  She wanted to feel their bodies moving together, flesh on flesh, and there was only one way to make that happen.  Reaching for the thick black straps of her suit, Janet shamelessly peeled the sopping, stretchy fabric down.
The motion was torturously slow as Janet waited to be reprimanded by Heloise.  She was sure her mother's friend would screech, "What are you doing, girl?  You don't get undressed while I'm standing here with you!"
When Heloise made no objections, not a peep, Janet kept going with the strip show.  She pulled her suit down until her hard nipples poked out, begging for affection.  Heloise was still holding her tight, washing her back in sweeping circles, not looking.  Not yet.  Janet pushed her wet bathing suit down farther, wiggling it past her hips, shoving it down, down, down as it clung to her thighs, twisting itself into a sopping rope.
Naked, Janet kicked her suit behind herself and rubbed her wet curves against Heloise under that cascade of glorious water. "Do my front," Janet whispered, her voice barely audible over the shower's hiss.
And, much to her amazement, Heloise pushed her until her back met the shower wall.  Here, Janet was just beyond the cascade's reach, though Heloise's backside was still getting wet.  When Heloise looked down at Janet's naked body, her eyes grew dark.  Janet watched the woman consume her tits visually, and then stare, actually stare, at her cunt.  For a fleeting moment, she wondered if trimming it would have been a good idea.
Apparently, Heloise liked a thick bush, because the hand without the soap in it went straight between Janet's legs, cupping her throbbing mound.  Thank God she was leaning against a wall! Janet nearly collapsed when Heloise snuck those long, elegant fingers between her pussy lips, exploring the juicy folds, fingering her aching clit.  Janet cried out with the pleasure of it, but her throat stung when she did, and she closed her lips, biting the inside of her cheek and trying not to make any more explosive noises.  She whimpered, though, as Heloise stroked her desperate pussy with one hand, tracing the soap across her chest with the other.
The soap felt amazing on her skin, all slick and slippery, but she whined, "Fingers… fingers!" until Heloise dropped the soap and cupped Janet's big breast with one hand.
Janet was so afraid Heloise would stop at any moment, back away, asking, "Why are we doing this, baby girl?" that she just kept talking, rambling, giving whatever instruction came to mind.
"Pinch my nipples."  Janet spoke quietly because her throat was still burning.  "Pinch 'em, Hel. It feels so good."
So Heloise gave it a shot, taking Janet's nipple between her thumb and forefinger, but every time she pressed them together that soapy nipple shied away, slipping from her grasp.  She giggled, and Janet did too, but they were obviously both more in the mood for lust than laughter because they pulled each other close simultaneously.  It wasn't one first, then the other following, oh no.  It was Heloise and Janet both wrapping their arms around the other's back and pressing their bodies together.
 Janet whispered, "Kiss me"...

We've Got FREE SMUT -- Right Here in River City!

Last night I was up until 4 in the morning putting together a separate page here at Donuts and Desires for my free erotica.  Here we have it:

Took me so long because I couldn't find as many free stories as I thought there were.  I've only linked to stories that are actually published right here on the blog, because I can't be sure how long outside links will be active, or how long free ebooks will be free (with the exception of my 6 Erotic Shorts, which I did link to).

Anyhoo, I thought I'd put waaaaaaay more free smut on my blog.  Maybe I did and I just can't find it anymore.  But this means only one thing: I must publish more, more, MORE FREE SMUT!  Right here at Donuts & Desires.

Wait for it...

Say Goodbye to Oysters and Chocolate

Well, this sucks. Royally.

Oysters and Chocolate is closing down.

(Update: as of February 2013, O&C appears to be closed. The site is *poof* gone.)

In case you've never heard of it, Oysters and Chocolate is a site that's been bringing erotica readers free smut for the better part of a decade.  And not just any free smut--really good stuff. The best erotica available for free online, it's safe to say.

Last year, Every Night Erotica, a site which brought us free short erotic stories every night, closed its doors.  Now Oysters and Chocolate is saying goodbye.  As an author, I loved these sites because they were a way to showcase my work in a place where readers could get a hold of it for free, and also get paid a modest fee.  As a professional writer, getting paid is vitally important.  That probably sounds dumb, but it's easy enough to write for free.  It's hard to make a living.

I particularly loved Oysters and Chocolate because they were eager to publish lesbian erotica--with a focus on real, authentic, hot and kinky or sweet and lovely lesbian sex. As a queer writer, I always felt at home with O&C.

Suffice to say, I'm sad to see them go.  And for all the readers who will miss their free smut, I've created a page right here at Donuts and Desires:

FREE SMUT! (where "smut" has a bit of a broad definition, encompassing erotica, kink, wordporn, erotic romance... a whole range, and all for free)

Bye bye, O&C.  I'll always love you!

Hugs,
Giselle

This Study is Looking for Trans Guys who like Guys

I stumbled upon a study looking to talk with Ontario trans guys who have sex with men.  It caught my eye particularly because I've just finished a story (Wedding Heat: Catering to the Masses) about (you guessed it) a trans guy who has sex with men.  Well... with one special man in particular. (Aww... shweet!)

Anyhoo, here's the study info:

Naughty New Year's Blog Hop at Donuts & Desires

Hello 2013!

Welcome to the Donuts and Desires stop on the Naughty New Year's Blog Hop.

Around New Year's, everyone's talking about resolutions.  Well, I hope you're not bored with them because I'm about to share mine.

The truth is, I feel things very deeply but I'm not quick to express how much people mean to me.  That needs to change.  And I'm not just talking about telling those closest to me that they matter.  Actually, I'm pretty good at that.  It's more about letting everybody else know that I appreciate the little things they do.  It's about saying thank you and really meaning it.

So THANK YOU!  Thanks for visiting my blog and participating in the hop.  I truly appreciate that you've stopped by.

I also appreciate all you readers out there who have bought my books -- like my popular lesbian kink novella Nanny State, or my Wedding Heat series, or my award-winning transgender romance The Red Satin Collection.  Without you, I couldn't scrape together a living as a full-time writer. Readers, I owe my existence as an author to you and I can't put into words how much you mean to me.  Heartfelt thanks!

Now on to the giveaway portion of this little adventure.

You may already know that Skye Warren, the organizer of this hop, is giving away a $100 gift certificate to the online sex toy shop EdenFantasys as well as a 10-ebook digital gift basket.  Comment for a chance to win!

As for me, I'll draw 5 winners from the comments to receive a copy of my New Years Erotic Romance "Out of the Cold."  (Read an excerpt here!)

Remember to include your email address if you want to win!

As an aside, I'd LOVE to share my twitterverse with you!  If you're on Twitter, follow me @gisellerenarde !

Thanks again for stopping by,
Giselle

Call for Submissions: True Sex Essay Anthology

Reposted with permission from Lusty Lady:

True sex essay anthology deadline extended to January 6th (earlier submissions get priority)

Desperate times call for desperate measures, so though I had so hoped to be done with this anthology by tomorrow, I'm still one third short on my word count. That means I'd love it if you'd spread the word (either en masse or to someone you know who has an amazing sex story they might want to share in writing). I do NOT need any stories about sex work, but I would love an essay by an asexual person and I'd also love an essay by a transgender person (essays don't have to necessarily be "about" those topics). Those are just two potential ideas on my editorial dream wishlist. The truth is, the essay I'm looking for is the one I don't yet know exists but that keeps me riveted, awed, amazed, and sure that my readers will be too. In other words, I'll know it when I see it.

Queries or questions? Email me at truesexantho at gmail.com - earlier submissions get priority and I'll be filling the anthology as I go. I will consider anything that comes in by December 6th, there will just be fewer spots available by then most likely. If you are waiting to hear back from me, I will get back to you as soon as I can, by the end of January at the latest. I have wanted to do this book since I first started hosted True Sex Confessions nights in 2006 at In The Flesh. If you want to know the type of essay I love, read "Silver Baling" by Stacey D'Erasmo in Best Sex Writing 2009 and "It's a Shame About Ray" by Kirk Read in Best Sex Writing 2010 (or any personal essay I've published in Best Sex Writing 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013. I hope it's not just a dream that never sees the light of day, and I have a feeling that this will be a wonderful book. Thanks!

Call for Submissions
True Sex essay anthology
Edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel
To be published by Cleis Press

Editor Rachel Kramer Bussel is looking for true (nonfiction) essays about your most powerful sexual experiences. The final book will feature a wide range of scenarios, settings, writing styles, ages, races, genders and sexual orientations. These should not be academic in tone or about theory, though there can be a political or serious element; I’m mainly looking for extremely personal, one of a kind essays focused around compelling sexual events in your life. I’m looking for your hottest sex, or the worst sex, or the kinkiest, or the funniest, or the meanest, or the most unexpected. Sex with a celebrity? Sex with someone forbidden? Sex you’ve never told anyone about? Sex on vacation you wouldn't have had at home? Sex on drugs? Group sex? Sex on camera? Sex you paid for or were paid for? Sex that surprised or confused you? Sex that changed your life? I want the story that most speaks to you about your sex life, either as a defining moment or simply one you’ve never been able to forget. No poetry. First or second person POV welcome. See the Best Sex Writing series and videos of true sex confessions from my former In The Flesh Reading Series for an idea of the types of essays I’m looking for. Please keep in mind that the more original and unique your essay, the better its chances. I want the story that only you can write told in a lively, compelling, can't-put-down way. Original essays will get priority, but I will consider reprints as long as you retain the rights; you MUST include the previous publication information with your submission.

Payment: Contributors will receive $100/essay and 2 copies of the anthology on publication. Contract is for one-time rights.

How to submit: Send only the final version of your proofread work along with your bio and mailing address. Include essay title and byline at top of first page. Send double spaced Times or Times New Roman 12 point black font Word document OR RTF of 1,500-3,500 word essay. Indent the first line of each paragraph half an inch and double space (regular double spacing, do not add extra lines between paragraphs or do any other irregular spacing). US grammar (double quotation marks around dialogue, etc.) required. Include your legal name (and pseudonym if applicable), mailing address, and 50 word or less bio in the third person to truesexantho@gmail.com. If you are using a pseudonym, please provide your real name and pseudonym and make it clear which one you’d like to be credited as. Cleis Press has final approval over the manuscript so you can expect a final answer by April 2013.

Deadline: January 6, 2012 (earlier submissions get priority)

The Political is Personal #IdleNoMore

Until now, I've been quiet about my heartfelt alliance with the Idle No More movement.

For those worldwide readers who may not be aware of the goings-on in Canada, I won't paraphrase.  Instead, here's a quote from the mission statement from the Idle No More website:

Idle No More calls on all people to join in a revolution which honors and fulfills Indigenous sovereignty which protects the land and water. Colonization continues through attacks to Indigenous rights and damage to the land and water. We must repair these violations, live the spirit and intent of the treaty relationship, work towards justice in action, and protect Mother Earth.

As you may or may not know, Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence is well into a hunger strike our Prime Minister Stephen Harper has chosen to ignore. All she's asking is to meet with the PM, the governor general (who acts as the Queen's representative here in Canada), and Ontario's Premier, to discuss Aboriginals affairs, treaty matters, and environmental issues.

They are ignoring her requests for a meeting.

There are others around the country who are now fasting in solidarity, including 10 women in Regina, who began their hunger strike yesterday and will fast, I believe, until December 31st.

Today I'm joining those women, fasting in alliance and solidarity with the Idle No More movement. (Hello from Toronto!)

I actually didn't want to blog about this matter. I just wanted to do it.  The only person I'd planned on telling was my girlfriend, who expressed her full support for the cause, but worries about my health.  To be honest, I've been suffering blood loss and anemia lately due to a medical concern.  Not eating probably isn't the best idea, but this is something I need to do, personally.

The reason I'm telling you about it is that my personal reasons for the fast are intensely political, so if I don't come out and explain what I'm doing and why, it has no political bearing beyond my own mind.

Stephen Harper does not speak for me.  I never voted for him, and his weighty silence does not carry my voice.  I stand in solidarity and alliance with the Idle No More movement, and I urge the Prime Minister, Premier, and Governor General to meet with Chief Theresa.

That's my voice.  I'm speaking with my hunger.

Peace,
Giselle

New Vampire Anthology! Coming Together: In Vein

Is something missing from your holiday season?

Did you say yes?

Did you say VAMPIRES?

Good.  Let's proceed.

An amazing new anthology just hit the market.  Coming Together: In Vein is full of vampire stories by some of the best erotic writers in the business. And me. (Is that joke getting old?)

And the best part?  All proceeds from the sales of Coming Together: In Vein go to Médecins Sans Frontières.  I submitted my lesbian knife play story "Cat" (which appears in Best Lesbian Erotica 2012 as "Blood Lust") so long ago I'd completely forgotten which organization would benefit from this particular collection.

As a Canadian, MSF (Doctors Without Borders) is particularly close to my heart. They do amazing work all around the world, and when you buy Coming Together: In Vein, not only do you support this valiant organization, but you get to read an amazing erotic anthology!

Do you love the undead? Coming Together: In Vein features the crème de la crème of vampire-themed erotica and erotic romance.
