For Just Pennies A Day...

Wait!  It's not what you think!  I'm not asking for money (this time). heh

This post is about an experiment I've got going.  It's veeery iiiinteresting, so I want to share it with my fellow readers and writers.

A few weeks ago, I was on twitter (what else is new?) and another author was like "Oh yay, I just got a royalty cheque for £6."

Well, I won't be one-upped, so I bragged about the royalty cheque I'd just received in the amount of one dollar and ninety cents.  Marketing-wise, showing off about how little money we make in this industry probably isn't smart, but you know what?  I'd rather be honest about it.  I'm a full-time writer and it is not a lucrative career.

Now, granted, that $1.90 cheque was only from one publisher where I have not much work placed, and it covered a quarter where I had no new releases, but even so... that's THREE MONTHS of sales.

Three months!

It's real! I didn't make it up!
Last week, I was out for a walk (I walk a lot--it's free entertainment) when I came across a dime on the sidewalk.  I tell you, that was an exciting day.  I looked that dime, and the first thing that popped into my head was my cheque for $1.90.  I thought, "If I found a dime every day for three months, I'd make considerably more than $1.90."  But what are the chances of that, right?  So I thought, "Well, I see a lot of pennies on the ground.  What if I found ONE penny every day?  In three months, I'd make... $1.80!"

I kid you not, it took me a full week to realize that 30 days x 3 months x 1 cent does NOT equal $1.80. Which is sad, because I was really good at math in elementary school.

Anyway, starting last week with that dime, I decided to launch an experiment:

Can I "earn" more than $1.90 in three months by picking up change off the sidewalk?

This is my experiment, and you're in on it.  After one week, here's what we've got:

Hello Kitty says Hello

If I'm counting correctly (and there's always a chance that I am), I've collected 16 cents off the sidewalk in the last week.  This is going to be veeery iiiinteresting.  Oh, I already said that.  Well, you know, it'll be something to read about when you're bored.

Stay tuned.

Hugs,
Giselle

The Feminist Porn Conference: Call for Papers

I saw this tweeted by Tristan Taormino, and I'm passing it along because a) there's an affiliation with my Alma Mater and b) Tristan Taormino is a superhero.  The following is taken with permission from http://thefeministpornbook.com/2012/11/14/hello-world/:

We are pleased to announce a Call for Papers and Presentations for The Feminist Porn Conference

About The Conference

The Feminist Porn Conference will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the University of Toronto as part of the 2013 Feminist Porn Awards. Feminists have been debating, studying, and creating pornography for decades, and the transformation of feminism, sexual politics, porn, and popular culture over the last decade has broadened the dialogue on this provocative topic. With the resurgence of anti-pornography feminist scholarship by Sheila Jeffries, Gail Dines, Pamela Paul, Robert Jensen, and others, the time has come to hear from progressive, anti-censorship, sex positive, and sex worker feminist voices.

This one day conference will bring together academics, cultural critics, sex workers, activists, fans, and producers to explore the intersections between feminism and pornography as well as the emergence of feminist porn as a genre, industry, and movement. It will be a part of The Good for Her Feminist Porn Awards, one of the largest gatherings of feminist pornographers in the world. We seek to raise awareness, pose critical questions, and incite dialogue about the shifting landscape of pornography and what roles we can play in it.

How has a new generation of people in the porn industry–who openly identify as feminist and own their own companies, direct and produce their own material, and/or take on politicized identities as sex worker performers–changed the way porn in produced and consumed? What does it mean to be a feminist who performs in, makes, distributes, and/or consumes porn? Are women and feminists working within or against the status quo? How have representations of the female body, gender, and sexuality shifted as a result of feminists and women making porn? How are marginalized women—including women of color, queer and trans women, disabled women, lower and working class women, fat women, and older women—imagined, represented, or marginalized in pornography? How are femininities and masculinities re-imagined in feminist porn? How do performers of color and minority performers address misogyny, racism, and inequality as workers in a predominantly white, male-dominated industry?

Call for Papers and Presentations
Deadline January 4, 2013

We welcome academics, scholars, researchers, students, activists, past and present sex workers, and others to submit proposals to present at the conference. We welcome scholars from different disciplines (including feminist studies, gender and sexuality studies, ethnic studies, film and media studies, sociology, and history). We are seeking proposals for individual papers, panels, or workshops on these broad themes investigated within the context of race, class, gender, and sexuality:
  • historical studies of pornography
  • the anti-porn feminist resurgence
  • representations of female pleasure and desire
  • concepts of desire, authenticity, and fantasy
  • LGBT, queer, genderqueer, and transgender pornographies
  • BDSM, fetish, kink, and rough sex on film
  • porn, sex work, labor rights, and equality
  • HIV/AIDS, STIs, and safer sex
  • the politics of porn
  • DIY pornographies, new technologies, internet economies
  • watching porn: viewership and fandom
  • constructions of ability, beauty, desirability, and body size
  • sex education in porn
  • feminist porn as genre, industry, or movement
  • practical, how-to workshops for performers, directors, and producers
Guidelines for Submission
Individual Papers: Submit an abstract of 350 words, a short bio, and contact information.
Panels: Panel coordinators should submit a 200-word rationale for the panel as whole. For each contributor, please submit a short bio and contact information. Panels should have three to four presenters and a moderator.
Workshops: Submit a workshop description, format, goals, presenter’s bio, and contact information.
Send proposals to: feministpornstudies at gmail.com, Subject Line: FP Conference

#SixSunday ~ Giselle Got You "In the Eye"

Hello Cruel World!

Wait... what?

Let's begin again, shall we? Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday!

Today's 6 come to you from my new release "In the Eye," a stormy multicultural MMF menage.  Not much set-up, here.  Steamy scene featuring two guys with a tornado fetish and their unwitting fellow road-tripper:

“Yeah,” Dale whispered. “Don’t stop.”
“Are you seriously this turned on just because of a tornado?” Susitna asked.
“It’s not just the tornado, and it's not just him,” Xu said, raising his voice over the windstorm. He tore out of his top and pushed off his bottoms to reveal the hard dick Dale had come to know and love. “Lots of people find storms sexually thrilling.”

A FREE READ is always the answer...

All week, I've been stressing about what I would write today for Transgender Day of Remembrance.  Sometimes I just feel totally impotent when it comes to communicating the social challenges and actual physical dangers faced by trans people.

If you come here often, you know my girlfriend is trans.  We're kind of in the same blessed boat, though. We're really, really lucky--both of us.  I can't remember any major hate being thrown at me for being queer.  In my family, my sister's vegetarianism is miles more controversial than my queerness.  Nobody gives two fucks that my primary attraction is to women.

I've mentioned before that my Sweet isn't out with her family because she perceives that they would hate her forever, but that's not at all the reaction she's had from other people--inside and out of the LGBT population.  I don't want to downplay the mean-spirited remarks a few people have made to her, but I will point out that they are few and far between.  Like, you can count them on one hand.

This is not the case for many trans women. Not at all, at all, at all.  Trans women face harrassement and danger just walking down the street.  And I'm not talking about "other people in other places."  I'm talking even here in Toronto.  There's a term, "Walking While Trans"--police think they're entitled to stop you if they pick you out of the crowd as a trans woman.  Because if you're a trans woman, you are therefore a dirty, dirty whore and you deserve to be given a hard time.

Yeah.

And until more of the population wakes up to the fact that trans people are PEOPLE (just like...people!), we're just going to continue ignoring the all-too-frequent suicides and murders of folks who are trans and genderqueer.  Christ, we value animals over trans women.  Not that we shouldn't value animals--you know I'm a crazy cat lady--but I just don't understand how we can so wretchedly devalue human lives if they belong to people whose gender identity is deemed unnatural or dangerous or fucked, or whatever hateful rhetoric Sun Media and all those dicks are spewing these days.

Ugh... okay, I'm getting so mad I'm becoming incoherent, so let's move on.

Today, in honour of Transgender Day of Remembrance, I'm offering my ebook Future Histories: Transgender Sci-Fi Erotica for FREE at All Romance Ebooks (btw, I know the word "transgenderED" is plastered all over that book and all I can say while remaining diplomatic to the powers that be is that I didn't put it there. Sorry!  Not my fault!)

Future Histories is a mini-anthology of 3 short stories featuring near-future transgender characters.  After everything I've written above, it might seem incongruous that 2 of those 3 stories feature sex workers, but... well, read the stories and make your own decisions about whether or not these characters represent heartfelt portrayals of genuine people.

After all, just for today, it's free:

The Year of No Christmas

I want to talk about food banks.

This year, my siblings decided they didn't want to exchange Christmas gifts.  They figured they had everything they needed, and they didn't want any more stuff.  Well, by the time they told me this I'd already decided that I was going to ask my family to make donations to local food banks rather than giving me gifts.

So here's what I pitched: why don't we exhange non-perishables on Christmas morning?  That way we still get to carry out our traditions of gathering around the tree and showing that we were thinking of one another, but in the end we will donate everything to food banks.

Would you believe that everyone was on board except my mother?  She's supposed to be the adult (not that we "kids" aren't all adults too), but you'd think she'd be mature and proud of her children.  Nope.  She's disappointed.  She's complaining that we're not celebrating Christmas properly.

Too bad.

People in this city NEED food.  My family doesn't NEED knick-knacks and Christmas crap.  Mom, I love you, but get real.  (I'm going to get some angry be-nice-to-your-mother emails, aren't I?)

I've got food banks on the brain, so I've been doing a lot of research into local organizations and I want to share some info with you.  Let's start with what to give, shall we?  If you're with me and you want to GIVE this holiday season (or any season), here are some suggested food donations from a Toronto organization called North York Harvest Food Bank:

Toronto is one of the most diverse cities in the world and people’s food needs are just as diverse. Think about variety when you donate and consider giving food that you enjoy eating at home. Below are some suggested food giving ideas.

Food ideas:

  • Grains – rice (white and brown), flour & whole grains (wheat, barley, bulgur), quinoa, pasta
  • Canned fish and meat – salmon, tuna, sardines, corned beef, chicken and other non-pork products
  • Canned or dried beans – chickpeas, kidney beans, lentils
  • Cooking oil – canola oil, olive oil
  • Canned fruit – peaches, pears, pineapple (packed in juice and water instead of syrup)
  • Canned vegetables – corn, green beans, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, water chestnuts, cabbage, sweet potato
  • Fruit juice – 100% juice
  • Cereals – High fibre, whole grain or multi-grain cereals, oatmeal
  • Healthy snacks and spreads – peanut butter, almond butter, unsalted nuts, low fat popcorn, low fat granola bars or cereal bars, crackers, cookies (arrowroot, digestive, oatmeal)
  • Baby products – formula, infant cereals, baby food, diapers
  • Canned or powdered milk
  • Spices and seasonings – turmeric, mustard seed, chilli powder, curry paste, sauces and marinades

The point I particularly love and live by is "consider giving food that you enjoy eating at home."  I buy for food banks while I'm doing my personal grocery shopping.  Basically, I do a "one for me, one for you" sort of thing.

I think one huge gap that prevents a lot of people from donating to food banks and other organizations is a belief that the people accessing these resources are somehow... "other."  They're different.  They're poor.  And why are they poor?  Because they're LAZY.  If they'd only get off their asses and get a goddamn JOB, then they wouldn't be asking for a handout, now would they?

I've heard stats about how many people carry these specific beliefs, and they're staggering.

Today, I might not need to access a food banks... well, okay, I'm not be the best example since I already live below the poverty line... so let's use YOU as an example.  Today YOU might not need to access a food bank, but unless you've got psychic insights you can't be entirely sure what your life will look like a year from now.  And, a year from now, if you were in a situation where you couldn't afford to feed yourself or your children, your elderly parents, other dependents, what would you hope for?

Hunger Statistics from Daily Bread Food Bank, Toronto:

I remember being a kid.  Barely.  But it's still there.  And one thing I remember very specifically was the shabbiness of my school lunches compared with those of my classmates.  Maybe all kids feel that way, but I know first-hand that hungry kids are desperately jealous of their well-fed friends.  That's part of my lived experience.  And that's why I like to donate nourishing foods that kids would be excited to bring to school.

Get thinking.  Get excited.  I am.

This Christmas is going to be GREAT, regardless of what my mother says.

For a closer look at the face of hunger in Toronto, I highly recommend the Who's Hungry Report 2012: http://www.dailybread.ca/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/WhosHungryReport2012LowRes.pdf

If you want to find out about hunger in your area and how you can help, do a quick google search.

Do it now.

Hugs,
Giselle

The Chance I Never Had

With Christmas coming up, I've got The Red Satin Collection on my mind.  If you've never heard of The Red Satin Collection, it's Maisie and Regan's holiday love story.  The collection is comprised of three stories (Red Satin, The Night Before Red Satin Christmas, and Red Satin Christmas) and until the end of the year I'll be donating 50% of my royalties from these ebooks and the collection paperback to a peer support organization for LGBT youth.

I've posted all this before, but it's weighing on me right now.

What's on my mind?  Just one aspect of the story: Regan's reunion with her alcoholic father.

It's funny when I write a character who is so clearly ME and don't even realize it. Butch Regan (hater of shopping trips, secure in her sexuality, and very much in love with her trans friend Maisie) is such a ME character that I probably wouldn't have been able to write the Red Satin stories if I'd realized it at the time.

The Red Satin Collection is not based on real life events. Not at all. It's based on real people (my girlfriend and I), but the stories are speculation. The stories are "what ifs." My girl is not out with her family yet the way Maisie is. After almost 4 years as a couple, we haven't spent a Christmas together the way Regan and Maisie do. I've never cheated on my girl the way Regan cheats on Maisie--and definitely not with any of her sisters.

I also never got Regan's chance at reunion with my alcoholic father.

When my dad died, we'd been estranged for a dozen or so years. I cut ties with a heavy heart after he became increasingly abusive toward myself and my family, stealing from us, issuing death threats against my mother, my siblings, and I. There was a time when we were truly afraid for our lives.  Restraining orders were issued, not followed. My mother installed bars on our windows because he kept breaking into our house.

So, that was "real life" many years ago.

In "real life" today, I don't find myself speculating on the possibilities, but I always say my writing comes more from my unconscious than my conscious mind. I never ask myself questions like: What if my father had quit the bottle? What if he'd seen the error of his abusive ways and developed wisdom in the time we didn't know each other? What if he'd come back into my life with something to teach me? What if he could meet the woman I love and admire our relationship? ...at Christmas?

Maybe I'm too pragmatic or even too bitter to ask these questions, I don't know, but The Red Satin Collection (the story called Red Satin Christmas in particular) isn't afraid to play with them. Maybe writing is nothing more than cheap therapy. And maybe it's more than just therapy for the writer. I'm not saying The Red Satin Collection is a self-help book (it's trans lesbian erotic romance, actually) but I think it did help me, somehow.

I think everything I write helps me. Somehow.

Hugs,
Giselle

New Holiday Release: Melting the Snowman

I saw this e-book advertised in the All Romance newsletter yesterday, and I thought to myself "Nice Cover!"  It wasn't until this morning that I realized Melting the Snowman is a Christmas anthology and I've got a story in it!  That was a nice surprise.

My story in this collection is called "Head to Mistletoe" and it's... wow, okay, it's kind of insane.  It's about an open-minded couple and their open-crotched mistletoe novely underwear.  When they wear their skanky undies to a Christmas party, what should break out but spanking, exhibitionism, public sex... you name it!

Here's more infor about Melting the Snowman:

An Xcite Books collection of five festive stories with mixed themes including m/f, f/f, partner swap, exhibitionism, Christmas, winter, winter sports, party, threesomes, office sex, risky business, outdoor sex and cougar.

Melting the Snowman by Josie Jordan

Carrie Mason is a freestyle snowboard coach and she loves her job, especially as her current client is the gorgeous JJ Green – having to rub down his near-naked body at the end of every day is a lesson in self-control. Unfortunately, the way he’s performing at the moment, his sponsors are going to dump him and she’ll be out of work. That is unless she can somehow melt his frosty exterior and unleash the passion that simmers beneath.

Head to Mistletoe by Giselle Renarde

When Jess and Lars wear their novelty mistletoe underwear to Stone and Ravinia’s Christmas party, they’re bound to show it off. Lars starts the naughtiness by spanking Ravinia in her sexy Santa Girl outfit. Jess dares him to reveal his mistletoe and Lars agrees – but only if she shows hers too … in front of everyone!

All I Want for Christmas is… by Kay Jaybee

Holly has a secret wish. After years of having erotic fantasies about her friend Ivy, she decides that something has to be done before her secret desires drive her mad. So Holly writes a very special letter to Father Christmas. Unbeknown to Holly, however, she isn’t the only one with a kinky Christmas request – Ivy’s boyfriend Owen also has a seasonal wish he longs to fulfil …

Cinderella Gets her Prince by Adam G Wright

He’s behind you … oh yes he is! A strait-laced academic in her everyday life, Fiona acts out her passions on stage. And now she’s been cast as Cinderella in her drama society’s pantomime, she’s planning to seduce Prince Charming – played by her long-time heart-throb, Gareth. If her strategy succeeds, she’ll get a taste of what’s inside his tight white breeches, sauced with vengeance for past wrongs. How will her prince react when he discovers that Cinders isn’t as innocent as he assumed?

Naughty … and Nice! by Tony Haynes

Every Christmas Eve, Sandra, the boss at Sinful Sex Toys, turns her office into Santa’s Grotto and lets her staff take their pick of the naughty Christmas gifts on display. FREE READ: Dildos and Donuts (it's lesbian strap-on sex!)

Because I'm an erotica writer with a blog that's called "Donuts and Desires," a lot of google searches lead here.  I'm talking google seaches for "donut erotica" and "donut sex."

The "donuts" in my blog's name are actually an ode to Canada, Tim Hortons, and Homer Simpsons, but hell, I figured why not try my hand at some donut erotica?  Give the people what they want. That sort of thing.

My lesbian strap-on dildo-sucking donut sex story was originally published on a website called Oysters and Chocolate, but that side doesn't exist anymore, so I guess you'll just have to read it right here!

DONUTS AND DESIRES
Sticky Lesbian Strap-On Cocksucking

by Giselle Renarde

Barb knew how weird I felt about sucking a fake cock.

It just seemed a little silly, getting down on my knees and licking the rubbery tip of her strap-on dildo. I did it because I knew how much it turned Barb on to watch me take that fat cockhead between my lips and imitate fellatio. It was real, to her. Not that she could feel it, but watching me suck was her favourite form of foreplay.

So I did it. For her.

“You gotta embrace the strap-on,” Barb told me as she chopped carrots for the stir-fry.

I picked one up and hugged it, pretending the fat orange veggie was a dildo. “Oh, I love you so much! Kiss, kiss, kiss.”

Laughing, she grabbed it from me. “Don’t play with your food, Missy.”

“Well, I like when you fuck me with the strap-on.” I started unpacking the groceries she’d left on the table. Barb had a habit of putting away anything that had to be refrigerated or frozen, and leaving the rest for me. “Actually, I love it when you fuck me with that thing, especially when you take me from behind and press those little finger vibes against my clit. Oh my God, I come so hard when you do that.”

“Oh yeah?” Barb teased. “I hadn’t noticed.”

I rolled my eyes, reaching into Barb’s shopping bag and pulling out a box of honey crullers. Those definitely weren’t on the list. I held them up and asked, “Donuts?”

“Those are for later,” she said.

The more I looked at the box, the more I wanted one now. “It won’t spoil my appetite if I eat just one.” I whined like a kid, playing with her. “Please, Mommy?”

“No,” she snapped, smiling. “You be a good girl and you can have one after dinner.”

Those donuts were all I could think about. Dinner was delicious, but donuts would be divine. We ate, we washed the dishes, we watched TV, but for some reason Barb kept telling me to wait. “Not yet, not yet. I’ll tell you when.”

Mmm… I could almost taste that honey sweetness on my tongue. I wanted a donut.
Barb turned off the TV and picked up the box of honey crullers en route to our bedroom. That’s when I realized something was up. I can’t believe it took me so long to clue in.

As she undressed, she said, “You know what I’d like to see you wearing? That sheer thing, like a babydoll but kind of slit down the front. You know which one I mean?”

I opened the closet and sorted through the hordes of lingerie I couldn’t stop buying. It was the black babydoll she had in mind. The part that cupped my breasts had buttons at the front, but it was open down my belly, and very see-through, just like the matching g-string. I changed in the walk-in closet because I always liked to make an entrance, and when I opened the door and sprang back out, I think I was more surprised than Barb.

“There are donuts on your dildo!” I said, laughing. There were two of them wrapped like cock rings around that big black dong. It was the most hilariously alluring thing I’d ever seen.

“I know,” she said. “I put them there.”

“Is that what you bought them for?”

She nodded, leaning against the bed. Barb had taken off her pants but not her button-down shirt. She’d done up the harness over her underwear, and tucked her shirttails in at the sides to keep them away from the sticky donuts. What a playful mess I was about to become. I couldn’t wait!

“It’s finally time for dessert, huh?”

“A double dose of dessert,” Barb said with a chuckle as I fell down before her.

“This is the babydoll you were talking about, right?”

The strap-on bobbed when Barb nodded wolfishly, and a nice little drizzle of honey ran down the top of the dildo, pooling when it reached the realistic cockhead.

“Oh God, I need to lick that.” I couldn’t resist. Leaning forward, I extended my tongue just enough to find a little droplet of honey glaze at the base of Barb’s cockhead.

My senses went wild when that sugary syrup hit my tongue. Maybe it was just because I’d been looking forward to those donuts all evening, but I think I had a foodgasm. I licked circles around Barb’s tip, sucking the rubbery plastic for any traces of honey.

When I looked up, Barb was gazing down at me, seeming every bit as hungry as I felt. My belly ached for sweet dough. “May I?”

Barb reached forward to press her sticky fingers to my lips, and I sucked them eagerly. Oh, I wanted sugar. I wanted more and more, and the mingling taste of her skin only added to my desire. She pushed her thumb inside my mouth, and I sucked that too, circling my tongue around and around. Her skin was delicious.

Once I’d licked every trace of sticky sweetness from her fingers, she traced them though my hair, holding my head and guiding me around the side of the dildo.

“Bite,” she instructed, and I did, eagerly.

The buttery donut melted against my tongue, filling my mouth with a gush of warmth. Honey crullers were my favourite, delicate and sweet as gossamer fairy wings. I took another bite, careful only to consume the outside and leave the inner ring intact around Barb’s dildo. The last thing I wanted was for my precious donuts to fall on the floor, so I cupped my hands underneath just in case.

“Now yank it down right to the tip,” Barb said, guiding my head to the other side of the dildo.

I latched on to the donut, but it tore every time I tried to pull it with my teeth. They were finicky, honey crullers. It took more than a little finesse to ease the nearest one down, right down, all the way to the tip.

“Good girl,” Barb said, scratching behind my ear like I was a dog. “Now eat.”

I didn’t need to be asked twice. Wrapping my mouth around the donut and dildo, I sucked, and the pastry melted against my tongue. When I’d swallowed every trace of that first cruller, I just kept sucking, certain I was still tasting honey in the pores of that rubberized plastic.

“Very good,” Barb applauded. “Oh Missy, you look incredible sucking my big cock like that.”

I gurgled, feeling at once pleased and bashful that she was watching me suck her strap-on dildo. Still, I didn’t feel as weird as usual. There was a purpose to my sucking. I was driven by donuts.

“Eat the other one,” Barb instructed me, tracing gentle fingers across my cheek. I shivered at the spark in her touch. I wanted so much to please her.

Arching around the side of the big black dildo, I tore into the second cruller, barely chewing before swallowing the fluffy outer layer. As before, I drew the inner ring of pastry down Barb’s cock and sucked the thing until all traces of donut had disappeared.

“Keep going,” she encouraged, petting my cheek as I sucked the tip. “Oh, you look so good down there. You look so beautiful, baby.”

Those words anchored my arousal. When I looked up to find her gazing down at me with fire blazing in her dark eyes, I came undone. Every insecurity went out the window, and I dove at her fat cock, grabbing the still-sticky base and devouring the shaft. Her mushroom tip tickled my throat, but I wouldn’t gag, not today. High on sugar and lust, I sucked my woman’s fake cock as though it were real, as though the rubber were flesh and the honey was precum. I devoured her hungrily, because I wanted her to feel the love on my lips.

Squeezing her black shaft, I stroked as I sucked, but my sticky palm adhered to the dildo. Every time I shuttled my hand down the strap-on, I ended up whacking the harness against Barb’s mound. She arched beside the bed, her feet sliding against the carpet, moaning incredulously with every pass.

“Yeah, Missy,” she panted. “Don’t stop.”

Her breasts heaved under her shirt as she struggled for breath, but I just kept sucking her dick and pummelling my fist down the shaft. Barb’s harness must have been rubbing or smacking against her clit—I couldn’t tell which—because she issued a steady stream of appreciative curses as her eyes rolled back in her head. She thrust her hips, driving the dildo into my throat, but I didn’t care. I just wanted to get her off and I knew she was close.

“Come for me,” I cried around the dildo’s respectable girth. “Come on, Barb! Make me eat cream.”

Boston cream!

Maybe my words put her over the edge, because Barb’s whole body shuddered against the side of the bed. Trance-like, she closed her eyes, shaking from head to toe.

“Oh yeah!” she cried, running her fingers through my hair, latching on and tugging.
“Fuck yeah, baby. Choke on my jizz.”

And I did choke, not on jizz, but on the dildo shoved halfway down my throat. My eyes watered as I gagged on her length. When Barb finally released me, I fell away from her, staring up through bleary eyes.

I’d never seen Barb so ecstatic from a blow job. It still seemed strange that she could come so hard when I wasn’t even touching her, but her enjoyment made my belly glow with sweetness and warmth.

“Barb,” I asked, like a child. “May I have another donut please?”

She smirked. “You can eat the whole box while I fuck you from behind.”

My pussy belonged to Barb. She could have it wherever and whenever she wanted it, and I always gave myself with the greatest of joy.

Hungry for dildos and donuts, I climbed up the bedcovers and bent over.

What You Lookin' At, Little Girl?

Ageplay.

*gasps*

Yes, I said it.  Ageplay.

There are certain facets of BDSM that make (some) people super-uncomfortable, and ageplay is (definitely) one of them.  But ageplay is a game of a thousand faces, like any realm of domination and submission, and it doesn't have to involve diapers.  (Diapers seem to scare people the most, I think.)

I actually did explore that aspect of ageplay in a novella I wrote called "Nanny State," and the process of writing that book was actually incredibly illuminating.  My girlfriend, who happens to be *mumble-mumble* years older than I am, edited the manuscript for me and it sparked incredible discussions that we'd kind of held at bay until then.

"Age doesn't matter."

Isn't that what people say when they're involved with a romantic partner whose age is vastly different from their own?  Or is that just what the younger person says while the older one nods knowingly?

All my adult life, I've been involved with people who were older than me, and in most cases, significantly so.  If it's a trend, I guess I can't say "age doesn't matter," because I've obviously got a key demographic in my sights.

When I was in my twenties, I was involved with a man who would absolutely NOT use our age differential as a sexual tool.  Spanking was the most taboo word in that relationship.  He was old enough to be my father, and that made him so uncomfortable I'm amazed he didn't explode.

Now I'm partnered with a wonderful woman who is much more open to discussing topics that make (most) people uncomfortable.  It's been a revelation, in many respects, but working on Nanny State together really opened us up to possibilities we never imagined exploring.

If I slip up in conversation and call my girlfriend "Mom" (which has happened more than once), it doesn't upset her psychologically.  It doesn't make her re-evaluate whether we should be a couple.  No, it makes her laugh.  She always recognized that undercurrent and, what's more, she believes that the parent/child dynamic exists within every relationship, whether people are friends, family, lovers, same age or not.  (She's Freud to my Jungian schooling, but we make it work. LOL)

So you probably won't be surprised that the older/younger dynamic shows up in a great deal of my writing.  Nanny State is just the beginning.

My story in this collection is one of my new favourites.  It's a lesbian spanking story called Insegnante:

Now that Sharifa's grown up, educated, and has a high-powered business job, she decides it's time for those piano lessons she couldn't afford as a kid. But Sharifa's job leaves little time to practice and her multilingual instructor, Mrs. Zamani, is serious about her students' success. When Mrs. Zamani raps Sharifa on the fingers for failing to make progress, Sharifa is dead set against returning... but she's got something to prove now, and maybe she appreciates Insegnante's brand of corporal punishment more than she's willing to admit?

Cheeky Spanking Stories On Tour

Have you seen this cover?

I love it.  It's the kind of cover I think about on the subway and it makes me smile like an idiot.  As you can see, it's the cover for Cheeky Spanking Stories, an erotic anthology edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel.  This Cheeky bum's on a virtual book tour, and today it's found its way to Donuts and Desires.

Normally, I might tell you what inspired me to write my story "Butch Girls Don't Cry," which is featured in Cheeky, but not this time.

Disappointed?

Don't be.

Sacchi Green already interviewed me here (http://sacchi-green.blogspot.ca/2012/10/a-cheeky-change-of-pace.html) about the inspiration for my butch/femme lesbian spanking story.  So instead of repeating myself, I'll tell you a bit about the story itself.

Are butch girls really so tough?  Are vixens really so heartless?

In Butch Girls Don't Cry, a self-proclaimed vintage tart encounters a mysterious stranger in her apartment building's sauna room.  Much to her surprise, the hot butch is crying--blubbering like a man--and the reason for this daddy's pain is unmistakable: her heart's been trampled by a pretty little girl in stiletto boots.  Everybody knows a break-up cry, and our femme proves herself a masterful slut/goddess when care gives way to desire.

Here's an excerpt:

Wringing out my hair, I wrapped the wet towel around my naked middle and figured I might as well cool my jets in the hot sauna.

It wasn’t until I’d swung open the heavy wooden door that I realized there was somebody inside. And who do you think that somebody was? Yes indeed, it was the big bad butch who’d caught my eye by the pool and then rejected me. She was still fully dressed, but her head hung low. Deep moaning sounds fell from her full lips. Between her feet in black flip-flops, tears sizzled against the hot wooden floor slats. My big strong butch was crying! Not whining like a girl, not whimpering like a puppy, but blubbering like a man. Like her father or her dog just died, as Leonard Cohen put it.

This mysterious stranger had suffered a loss, but I was pretty sure it had nothing to do with a father or a dog. It was a loss in love, that much I could tell. I could feel it in my heart—my heart, which expanded with every breath to house her hurt. I knew just the type of dark-haired beauty who’d trampled her spirit with stiletto boots: deep red lips, bright red nails, short bangs and a vintage dress. A vixen. A tart. Oh, how many times had that beauty been me?

Tears streamed down her plump cheeks, barely distinguishable from the sweat gleaming on her skin. She didn’t acknowledge me, except by sitting up a little straighter. Still, her chin swung down close to her chest. As she shook her head left and right, tears soaked the front of her sweat-dampened tank top. She mumbled indistinguishable words, but I got the sense she wasn’t talking to me or even to herself. My guess? She was pleading with the woman now absent from her life, the pretty girl who’d hurt her so badly.

Everybody knows a break-up cry. You know it when you see it. Because we’ve all been there, everybody above the age of sixteen or so. We’ve all been hit by that bolt from the blue, or seen the end slowly creeping up on us like a creature of the night. And it hurts. God, it hurts like nothing else in the world and it leaves us weak as kittens.

Time may heal the wound of this individual experience, but the next time a relationship comes to an end, we’re torn open just as wide. There’s no learning curve for emotion. We are subjected to it and rendered submissive in its hands.

I’m no mother, but I know what it is to care for another human being. My maternal instinct is strong enough to embrace anyone in need, and open enough to realize the desire that care can generate. Open enough not to turn that desire away. Open enough to welcome it.

So I walked across the sauna room. All it took was three small steps.

Cheeky is available now from Amazon and such places.  It's published by Cleis Press.
