Quick Six with Selena Kitt

Happy Monday, everybody!

Today I'm beyond delighted to have Selena Kitt of eXcessica Publishing joining us for Quick Six: The Next Generation!

1. What does "vanilla" mean to you?

You know, vanilla gets a bad rap. Real vanilla is fantastic stuff. It's rich and
pungent and not really boring at all! So all of you out there having vanilla
sex--er, ice cream--take heart. It's still VERY good! ;D

2. Is there any moment from your life that you remember in slow motion?

The moment my midwife couldn't find my son's heartbeat at a routine prenatal
when I was 39 weeks pregnant. He was stillborn on April 1, 2009.

3. What's the most unsettling movie you've ever seen?

The Exorcist - the uncut version, where she walks down the stairs backwards.
Creeeeee-py!

4. If you had to get a tattoo on your face, what would you want it to look like?

No way - I won't ever get another tattoo. I have a memorial tattoo (my son's
hand) on my chest, and that hurt like hell! Never again!

5. How many monkeys jumping on the bed?

One too few.

6. Which of the books or stories you've written is your favourite? (Please include buy link and blurb in your response)

My recent favorite is Baumgartner
Generations: Janie
.

The Baumgartner series continues, this time
exploring Janie’s world as she moves to New York to try to make it as a writer,
all the while serving as part-time lover in a polyamorous relationship with
Veronica and TJ and full-time nanny to their daughter, Beth. Janie’s life is
already incredibly full when she—literally—runs into an agent one morning who
sees great potential in her—and not just as a writer. As Janie’s relationship
with Josh blooms and her career takes off, Ronnie’s happy surprise turns into a
problem that even a vacation in a mountain cabin with the Baumgartners can’t
fix, throwing everyone’s life off-kilter. Janie, especially, is spread thin,
trying to please everyone while keeping Josh from finding out the true nature of
her relationship with her benefactors. She knows she has to tell him eventually,
but fear holds her back. Will she lose him? Will she be forced to make an
impossible choice? Or will she, perhaps, find that the capacity for the human
heart to love is, indeed, endless?

Selena, thanks so much for a poignant interview. My girlfriend's mother also has a tattoo for the son she lost, but hers is, for some strange reason, on her ass. And, what's more this woman will show it to anyone--ANYONE--who asks to see it! I've seen her pull down her panties for complete strangers. LOL
Hugs,
Giselle
