*EXTENDED* Call for Submissions: Sex Objects

Delilah Devlin has extended her call for Sex Objects: An Anthology of Erotic Romance Stories from July 1st to July 15th.  I didn't think I would have time to write anything up for this one, but with the extension, I think I'll have a go:

Sex Objects: An Anthology of Erotic Romance Stories
Editor: Delilah Devlin
Publisher: Cleis Press in Spring 2014
Deadline: July 1, 2013 July 15, 2013

Sex Objects: An Anthology of Erotic Romance Stories is open to all authors.

Editor Delilah Devlin is looking for hetero stories for a romantic erotica
anthology tentatively entitled Sex Objects: An Anthology of Erotic Romance

High powered, high ranking...and in high heels.

The term "Sex Object" brings to mind a curvaceous starlet on a casting couch
or an iconic, bee-stung-lipped beauty being pursued by a powerful, capable
man. Turn that concept upside down by allowing the woman to objectify a
handsome, sensual man, using the concepts of role reversal and power play
but from a female perspective, and you have the makings of something
evocative and fun for the feminine, romance reading audience.

Imagine powerful women unafraid of going after the men they want...
* A beautiful divorcee stepping out for the first time as a single woman
with a paid male escort.
* The movie producer using the casting couch to lure the latest movie heart
throb into a torrid affair.
* A university professor calling a male grad student into conference to
discuss his "thesis. "
* A worldly corporate boss asking for "dictation&quo t; from her personal

These women will be masters of their own domain, in charge and
proud...capable of using sex for pleasure' s sake...but ultimately succumbing
to the pull of desire created by the "objects" of their desire.

Sex Objects will seek contemporary stories, although the editor is open to a
futuristic or historical. Exotic, international settings will be considered.
Traditional themes/tropes can be used, but writers are encouraged to create
tales that surprise. Delilah seeks unique stories from authors with strong
voices, and above all, she's looking to be seduced by tales filled with
vivid imagery and passion.

Published authors with an established world may use that setting for their
original short story.

Keeping in mind that this volume is targeted at women, the editor seeks
mainly hetero stories, but will consider bisexual or lesbian encounters and
polyamorous relationships. This is erotic romance, so don't hold back on the
heat. Stories can be vanilla or filled with kink, but a deep sensuality
should linger in every word-and don't miss describing the connection between
strong-willed individuals learning to trust and love one another. Keep in
mind there must be a romantic element with a happy-for-now or
happy-ever-after ending. Strong plots, engaging characters, and unique
twists are the ultimate goal. Please no reprints. These must be original

How to submit: Prepare your 1,500 to 4,500 words story in a double-spaced,
Arial, 12 point, black font document with pages numbered (.doc, NOT.docx) OR
rich text format. Indent the first line of each paragraph half an inch and
double space (regular double spacing, do not add extra lines between
paragraphs or do any other irregular spacing). US grammar (double quotation
marks around dialogue, etc.) is required.

In your document at the top left of the page, include your legal name (and
pseudonym if applicable), mailing address, and 50 words or less bio in the
third person to realsexobjects@ If you are using a pseudonym,
please provide your real name and pseudonym and make it clear which one
you'd like to be credited as. Authors may submit up to 2 stories. Delilah
will respond in December 2013. The publisher has final approval over the
stories included in the manuscript.

Payment will be $50.00 USD and two copies of the published book upon

About the editor: Ms. Devlin has published over a hundred and twenty stories
in multiple sub-genres and lengths with Atria/Strebor, Avon, Berkley, Black
Lace, Cleis Press, Ellora's Cave, Kensington, Kindle, Montlake Romance,
Running Press, and Samhain Publishing. In Fall 2011, she debuted her first
anthology with Cleis Press, GIRLS WHO BITE. Since then, she has published
HEROES release in summer 2013.

End of a TransFix Era

When Claudia at loveyoudivine and I were brainstorming names for their line of authentic transgender erotic fiction and romance, I came up with "TransFixation"... or "TransFix" for short.  Seemed like the absolute perfect name.

I proudly told my girlfriend, and her response was, "Nah, I don't like it.  Sounds like you're trying to fix trans people."

"What? No, transfix... like it's transfixing fiction!  Aww, never mind. We're going with it."

Seems like only weeks ago, but it's been a number of years that loveyoudivine's been publishing my trans fiction.

And now the sad news: loveyoudivine is closing its doors at the end of Pride Month.

You still have a chance to get your hands on my authentic, erotic, and award-winning transgender fiction.  It's discounted by 25% at lyd's website:

Buy now, because some of these titles might never make it back on to the market.

In particular, you might want to grab my award-winning The Red Satin Collection in print:

My Mistress' Thighs received an honourable mention in the Rainbow Awards, and it's also available to purchase in paperback edition at Amazon

#MySexySaturday "Look Arthur: No Panties!"

Here's a super-sexy scene from my latest release, Wedding Heat: Wife Watching.  Actually, this 12th installment in my Wedding Heat series only came out yesterday, and already you anxious fans have been at it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

In this scene from Wedding Heat: Wife Watching, hotwife Suki brings Arthur, a young guy she met on the dance floor, up to her room so her husband Simon can watch them GET IT ON from behind a room divider (lucky their hotel room was so well-equipped, huh?).

Here they are! Seven paragraphs from Wife Watching:

Suki turned around, showing Arthur her nearly-naked front.  She hadn’t worn anything under the body stocking, and her little pink nipples hardened between the black spider web weave.

“Look Arthur: no panties.”  She traced her fingers between her legs, cupping her mound.  “Can you believe it?  All that time on the dance floor… you could have fucked me right there.  You could have spun me around, pulled out your cock, and fucked me with all those people around.”

“You’re not for real.”  Arthur looked around the room.  “You got a camera set up, or some shit.”

“No, no.”  Suki grabbed him by the wrist and set his hand against her pussy.  “I’m not out to get you, Arthur.  I’m just a little slut.”

Simon’s dick pummelled his pants.  He struggled not to moan.

Arthur didn’t say anything.

“Put your fingers in my pussy,” Suki begged.  “Feel how wet I am?  That’s something a girl can’t fake.  It’s all for you, Arthur.”

Are you sweating yet?  Want more?

New Release! Wedding Heat: Wife Watching

Simon likes to watch. Suki likes to fuck.  It’s a match made in heaven!

At Maggie and Ed’s wedding reception, Suki dances with every man at the party.  Her husband Simon isn’t much of a dancer.  He prefers to sit back and observe as she grinds against strangers’ hard bodies.  When she gives him the signal, it’s time to rush to their room at the luxury resort hotel.

Hiding behind the antique room divider, Simon waits for Suki to arrive with a man she’d only just met.  Nothing turns him on better than watching his wife go crazy with another guy… especially knowing that, once the stranger’s gone, they’ll have the hottest sex they know.

But when the swaggering stranger strips bare, his body blows Simon’s mind.  Even his fingers are huge!  After taking a guy like that, will Suki ever be satisfied with Simon?

WARNINGS: This title contains hardcore stranger sex, wife-watching, fishnets, fisting, voyeurism and exhibitionism.

Word Count: 9,000

Suki danced with every man at the reception—and half the women, too.

Simon had never been much of a dancer, not even when he was first dating Suki.  Even back in college, Suki would get up on the dance floor and grind against a stranger’s thigh.  Simon would sit back, watching.  People thought he was a wallflower.  He wasn’t.  Not really.  He was a man who knew what he liked.

And Simon liked to watch.

At the moment, Suki hung off a man who was big, black, and built.  His tailored vest and navy blue pants looked expensive, and his finely carved facial hair shouted out that he was a man who took great care in his appearance.

Mr. Big didn’t have a moustache.  He had a soul patch, of sorts, and cool cascading lines echoing the bold curve of his jawline.  His smile was contagious.

Over the booming music, Simon couldn’t hear what the dancing man whispered into Suki’s ear… but it made her giggle.  Simon wondered how old Mr. Big thought she was.  Suki had looked like a Japanese teenager until she was about thirty-seven.  Even now, she looked nowhere near her age.  She’d cut her hair recently, and the style made her look a little older, but Mr. Big probably took her for twenty-five, tops.

“Touch him,” Simon whispered into his wine glass.  He was confident Suki could hear his thoughts across the reception tent, even if she couldn’t hear his voice.  “Rub his cock.  Come on, Suki.  He’s so hot for you.  He’s so hard…”

Call For Submissions: Femme Dominant Lesbian Erotica

I don't want to stress you out or anything, but here's another call for submissions from D. L. King:

She Who Must Be Obeyed: Femme Dominant Lesbian Erotica
Edited by D. L. King
To be published by Lethe Press
Deadline: August 19, 2013
Payment: $50 plus 2 copies of the anthology
D. L. King wants to read about dominant femmes.
There’s something about a hot, sexy woman in a pencil skirt, flawlessly made-up, wielding a riding crop.  Well, I think there is.  I know, for me, sometimes it’s hard to decide between the black leather pencil skirt and the black rubber one.  You know what I mean.  I’m talking about a woman worshipped by girls, bois and butch bottoms, alike; I’m not particular – well, not that particular.
Tell me stories about women who can silence a room simply by entering it.  What’s it like when a mere glance can make you weak in the knees and a stare will put you in your place – at her feet.  I’m looking for power exchange as seen from either the femme’s point of view or her worshipper’s.
Tell me about torture and about goddess worship. Tell me about pleasing and being pleased.  I want stories with sexy lingerie and boxer briefs, strap-ons and bound bodies.  I want to hear about crops and whips, corsets and trousers, fingers and tongues.  You know what I want; I want to sweat.  Of course, it should go without saying that characters must be at least 18, no scat and no snuff.  Just make me happy—and damp.
Stories should be between 2,500 and 4,000 words, double-spaced, 12 pt Times New Roman. Please indent the first line of each paragraph one-half inch and do not include extra lines between paragraphs. No fancy fonts, no weird sizes, no bizarre formatting, no strange colors, please. Do not put a cover sheet on your story.
Send your story as a .doc (NOT a .docx) attachment and include the title, pseudonym (if applicable) and your legal name and mailing address to The subject line should read: Submission: TITLE. Please include a 50 word bio. Direct any questions to the same address. (If you are absolutely unable to send a .doc attachment, I will accept an rtf.)

Please cross post, anywhere and everywhere!

Am I A Bad Queer?

I'm wondering if I'll even go to Pride this year.  Depression seems to be turning my rainbow a little grey these days.  Also, I tend to hyperventilate in crowds and I don't feel comfortable around drunk people.  So a world-class parade is a little tricky for me.

In recent years, I've attended Toronto Pride more to buck the powers-that-be than to celebrate my queerness.  The day our homophobic (and now notorious) mayor Rob Ford was elected, I felt like I was living in a different city.  Who voted for this guy?  I thought this was such a queer-friendly place to live.

That year (two years ago, I think?), the unflushable Mayor Tweedledum upset us queers by refusing to attend Pride.  He didn't even go to the goddamn rainbow flag-raising ceremony at City Hall.  Doood, it's right outside your fucking office!  Are you kidding me?

So I made sure to attend the Pride Parade that year, as a show of solidarity.  I hadn't gone in probably ten years, but I wanted to stand up and be counted.  Political action.  I'm here, I'm queer, I hate Rob Ford.  That sort of thing.

Last week I tweeted about how I sometimes feel like I'm NOT QUEER ENOUGH.  Like I'm a BAD QUEER.  And a big part of that feeling comes from not being a party person.  I don't drink or do drugs.  I don't go to bars or clubs.  There are so many aspects of (what's generally understood to be) queer culture I'm just not a part of.  Hell, I'm not even a big fan of parades!  If I don't get my shit together, I'm gonna be kicked out of the club.

But I yams what I yams: a quiet queer.

This Pride, maybe I'll just go to the street festival.  I like the supporting queer vendors.  I like being around other queer people.  Everyone's so cheerful all weekend.  Total strangers wish you Happy Pride just for walking by. It's nice.

So, am I a bad queer if I don't go to the Parade? I feel like I am.  But the route gets packed and I'm so short I usually can't see much anyway. Last year I slathered on SPF 85 and still got sunburnt.

On the other hand, I love the parade's inclusiveness and diversity--the very qualities our mayor would probably like to wipe from the face of our city.

Families come to Pride.  All kinds of people do.  Last year, I stood next to two middle-aged men in turbans and an elderly Asian woman.  Man oh man, you should have seen that lady jump for joy when the Trojan guys started tossing out condoms!

Damn... I think I just talked myself back into going.

Narcissist Seeks Are-You-Fucking-Kidding-Me?

Earlier this week, I got thinking about my favourite lesbian erotic comedy, Narcissist Seeks Narcissist.  This particular novella takes me back to university, when I was researching a paper about how women's magazines reinforce the same hegemonic heteronormative structures they claim to buck.

There's one particular Q&A that sticks in my mind.  I read this advice column (it might even have been Dr. Ruth, but don't quote me! It was definitely someone big.) where a woman wrote in, concerned because her daughter was dating a girl.

The "advice" was all, "Oh, don't worry about it. Teenaged girls are narcissistic and your daughter's not really attracted to other girls, she's just expressing a displaced kind of self-love" blah blah heterosexist pseudo-psychological bullshit BLAH.

I got a little worked up when I read that 10+ years ago. Even just thinking about it now, I'm still pissed off.

When I wrote Narcissist Seeks Narcissist (which stars an aging model who really IS a narcissist), I was taking a bit of a stab at that "advice" article.  Comedy is the best revenge.

After that rambling introduction, here's some info about the book:

Szuszu the former model has survived on women and scotch since she was just a teenager. All these years, she's had her best friend Babette by her side, but now that Babette is married and setting off on a world tour, Szuszu feels utterly abandoned. As a pre-departure joke, Babette writes up a silly and snide little personal ad, which narcissistic Szuszu posts in hopes of attracting a woman who looks just like she did when she was young.

Naomi thinks Szuszu's post is hilarious -- what a great sense of humor! She can hardly believe the centrefold she stole from her dad's collection way back in the day is looking for love. It's not like her to answer a personal ad, but for the infamous Szuszu she'll make an exception. She thinks Szuszu looks fantastic, and Szuszu (who refuses to wear her glasses) thinks Naomi looks just like her. What could ensue but sex, love, and a whole lot of comedy?

"What's that you're scribbling, darling? It's about me, isn't it?" Szuszu reached across the table, nearly knocking over her backup scotch and soda. "Hand it over, Babs. Let's have a look."

Babette pressed the cocktail napkin flush to her chest, setting down her slim gold pen. "It's nothing, Szusz. Just my shopping list." She shook her head, eyes wide, guilty as sin. "Just my groceries."

"Shopping!" Szuszu cackled, knocked back the scotch in her hand, then slammed the glass down on the table. "Darling, you haven't done the shopping since you shacked up with that dairy cow you call a wife. You don't need to shop -- just bend the old hausfrau over a bucket and you've got your milk for free."

"Leave Matilda out of this." Babette shoved the cocktail napkin in her jacket pocket.

"Ah!" Gazing across the table through the amplifying lens of an empty scotch glass, Szuszu pointed to Babette's chest. "There! I see what you've written. It's all smeared across your tits, darling." Squinting, she tried to make out the loopy handwriting smudged on Babette's skin. "noitaroda… lautum… rof… What is that, darling, Latin? Or have you had a stroke?"

Babette glanced down at the writing on her chest, wetting another serviette with Szuszu's next scotch and rubbing it over the pen marks. "It's backwards, darling. It's an imprint, you know." After setting the wet serviette down on the table, she pulled the dry one from her pocket. "Fine, then. Fine, if you're so curious. Here it is. That's what I wrote."

Squinting at the flimsy square of paper, Szuszu held it up close and then away from herself, but the words still wouldn't come into focus.

"I think you need to get yourself a good pair of specs, Szusz."

Szuszu's eyes twitched at the blasphemy. "Nobody wears glasses, darling, except librarians and Elton John. I was a model, you know."

"Yes, I know, Szusz. Everybody knows." Babette rolled her eyes like a teenager. "You do realize you've gone up to every person in this bloody lounge to tell themI was a model?"

"Well, I was on the cover of all the magazines in my day."

"In your day, right, you were. Headlines read: War is over. Szuszu greets sailors at port."

An overwhelming desire came over Szuszu to kick her dearest friend in the shins, but when she let loose, her snakeskin boot met the cylinder of metal holding up the table. "Oh, for Christ sake," she moaned, rubbing her toe. "If I wasn't legless, I bet that would smart." Defeated, she handed the napkin back across the table. "Here, read this for me, Babs. I can't see straight."

"Can't even think straight," Babette mumbled. "All right then, you want to know what I wrote while you were babbling on about your glory days? I wrote up a personal ad, darling: Narcissist seeks narcissist for mutual adoration. Turn-ons include mirrors, soup spoons, darkened windows, and other reflective surfaces. Must enjoy photo albums, the sound of her own voice, and endlessly reliving days of cover girl glory. Doppelgangers will receive preferential treatment--see attached photo. Looks trump substance. Models preferred. Serious enquiries only."

When Babette had finished reading from the serviette, Szuszu offered weak applause. "So you're going to dump the dairy cow after all these years. Good show, darling. It's about time."

Babette's ears turned bright red and she shook her head. "I am not dumping anybody. This ad isn't for me--it's for you. You're the narcissist, darling. You're the one unlucky in love."

"Luck has nothing to do with it, Babs." Szuszu polished off the last of her scotch and held up her glass for more. "I'm not like you, darling. I don't buy into your little cult of Noah's Ark, everyone in neat little pairings."

"It's hardly Noah's Ark if it's full of lesbians," Babette muttered.
